  • Women Empowerment & Engagement
    • Women’s Health and Wealth Initiatives : disease prevention and control through nutritional health literacy and education; poverty reduction through enterprise and job creation; financial literacy, language and cultural literacy promotion among women and girls and their families
  • Creative Clubs Establishment and Operations: Delivering A-Z PLUS Creative Clubs, planning and implementing creative activities that empower, build, expand, promote and sustain women’s creative capacity (including their talents, skills, knowledge, abilities, experiences, and easy access to available resources).
  • Applied Creativity Consult- taking creativity and innovation consulting services to industries, helping individuals, businesses and other organizations in building their capacity by adopting and utilizing creativity and innovation learning and best practices to boost their knowledge- base and profitability.
  • Assist organizations to establish and manage creative clubs or creative initiatives/projects, and creative resource centers, or help them advance already existing creative club/resource facility to attain a new level or diversify for sustenance.
  • Filing income tax for low income individuals and families and establishing new income tax clinics in partnership with community agencies and Community Volunteer Income Tax Program(CVITP) of Canada Revenue Agency(CRA).
  • Facilitate and/or coordinate development and launching of women’s creative businesses namely; self-employment/small business, co-operative, social enterprise/social purpose enterprise, and community economic development (CED) initiatives, to improve socio-economic well-being of women and girls and their families.
  • Helping and supporting women and girls, and their families to attain socio-economic independence, self-sufficiency, personal growth and development.

 

Other Activities

  • Food Production, Food Processing, Storage, Marketing and Distribution
  • Research and Development; research and develop tactis and strategies, tools and techniques for helping women in gaining meaningful and sustainable employment; successful business startup/development and entrepreneurship skills training programs including social/co-operative enterprise, community economic development(CED) and facilitating individual or group creative investment.

 

Opportunities: WCCI offers great opportunities to all stakeholders in fulfilling its mandate. There are benefits for committed and dedicated staffers, club members, volunteers, interns, supporters- sponsors, donors, mentors and advisors, strategic and collaborative partners, investors and trustees. WCCI offers service opportunities to new board members with social enterprise, co-operative enterprise or nonprofit management experience. However, those without the required experience but are willing to learn are welcome. On-going training will be provided. Members can operate offline (on-site) or remotely via online platform.

 

Partners: WCCI partners with individuals, educational institutions, faith-based organizations, public and private sectors both local and international that share its vision and mission, and would like to help women and youth (girls), and their families. WCCI’s goal is to maintain partnership and collaboration with donors and sponsors (both financially and in-kind contribution), to achieve its program/project goals and objectives. Recruitment of club members, supporters- mentors and advisors, and partnership formation are on-going.

Programs/Projects: WCCI aims at initiating and executing cost-effective, self-sustaining and high-value-adding programs/projects. With the help of dedicated volunteers working together with a lead person from the management team, WCCI will continue to identify the needs of any target population and develop plans to address them. WCCI has created effective systems for monitoring and evaluation, and reporting of every program or project. WCCI has developed project implementation and sustainability plans to ensure the continuity of all its programs and projects.
